PMC11 Pressure Transmitter Overview

PMC11 is a high-performance pressure transmitter widely used in industrial process measurement. Its compact design, high accuracy, and stable output make it suitable for pressure monitoring of gases, liquids, and steam.

This manual is intended to help engineers and procurement personnel quickly understand the installation, wiring, commissioning, and maintenance points of the PMC11.

Installation Guide

Installation Location Selection

  • Avoid installing in areas with strong vibration or severe temperature fluctuations.
  • Ensure the process connection direction is consistent with the medium flow direction to reduce turbulence effects.
  • Reserve sufficient space for wiring and routine maintenance.

Mechanical Installation Steps

  1. Confirm there is no pressure in the pipeline and close the shut-off valve.
  2. Clean the threaded connection, wrap an appropriate amount of PTFE tape, or use a sealing gasket.
  3. Screw the PMC11 into the process connection and tighten it with a wrench, avoiding over-tightening.
  4. Check the seal, slowly open the shut-off valve, and observe for leaks.

Electrical Wiring

Terminal Definitions

TerminalFunctionWire Color (Reference)
1Power supply positive (+)Red
2Power supply negative/signal output (-)Black
3Shield/groundShield mesh

Please use shielded cable and ensure the shield is grounded at one end only to suppress electromagnetic interference.

Wiring Precautions

  • The supply voltage must be within the range of 12~36V DC.
  • Avoid routing parallel to power cables; when crossing, do so at 90 degrees.
  • After wiring is complete, tighten the cable gland to ensure the protection rating.

Commissioning and Calibration

Zero and Span Adjustment

  1. Power on and warm up for 10 minutes.
  2. Under no pressure, perform zero calibration via the handheld communicator or local buttons.
  3. Apply full-scale pressure and adjust the span potentiometer so the output is 20mA.
  4. Repeat zero and span adjustment 2~3 times until the error meets the accuracy requirements.

Common Parameter Settings

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Routine Maintenance

  • Regularly check the process connection for leaks.
  • Clean the housing to prevent dust accumulation from affecting heat dissipation.
  • Perform calibration verification every 12 months.
