Installation and Wiring Guide

Correct mechanical installation and electrical wiring are prerequisites for ensuring accurate measurement by the FMM20. Please follow the steps below.

Mechanical Installation

  1. Confirm that the pipeline or vessel has been depressurized and close the relevant valves.
  2. According to the process connection specification, screw the FMM20 into the installation point and use a suitable seal.
  3. Tighten with a wrench, avoiding excessive force that may damage the threads.
  4. Ensure the instrument orientation is convenient for observation and wiring, and avoid severe vibration.

Electrical Wiring

  • Open the rear cover of the instrument to expose the terminal block.
  • Connect the positive power supply to the +24V terminal and the negative to the COM terminal.
  • Connect the signal output wires to OUT and COM, observing polarity.
  • Shielded cable is recommended, with the shield grounded at one end.
  • After wiring is complete, tighten the cable gland to ensure sealing.

Operation and Commissioning

The FMM20 supports two commissioning methods: local keys and a HART communicator. The basic operating procedure is as follows.

Local Key Operation

  • ZERO key: used for zero calibration.
  • SPAN key: used for full-scale calibration.
  • MODE key: switches display units or menus.

HART Commissioning

  1. Connect the HART communicator or communication device to the signal loop.
