Preparation Before Calibration

Calibration Steps

- Immerse the sensor in the standard solution, ensuring the electrodes are fully submerged and not touching the beaker wall. Stir gently to remove air bubbles.
- Wait for the reading to stabilize (usually 30 seconds to 2 minutes), and compare the displayed value with the standard solution's conductivity value.
- If the deviation exceeds the allowable range, enter the transmitter or secondary meter menu and perform single-point calibration or multi-point calibration.
- After calibration, rinse the sensor with deionized water and reinstall it back into the process pipeline.
Calibration Precautions
The following points can help you avoid common mistakes and extend sensor life.
- Standard solutions should be freshly prepared to avoid conductivity changes due to absorption of CO₂ from the air.
- The calibration environment temperature should be close to the process temperature, or use the temperature compensation function.
- If the electrode surface has oil or scale, treat it with a mild cleaning agent before calibration.
- Calibration interval is recommended every 3-6 months; for high-precision applications, it can be shortened to 1 month.
