Installation and Wiring
Installation Location
Select a highly representative measurement point, avoiding vibration, strong electromagnetic interference, and corrosive gases. The sensor should be fully inserted into the material to ensure good contact.
Electrical Wiring
- Confirm the power supply is 24VDC and the polarity is correct.
- Connect the 4-20mA output to a PLC or display instrument.
- Use shielded twisted pair for RS485 communication lines, connecting A/B correspondingly.
- After wiring, tighten the cable gland to ensure the protection class.
Operating Steps
Correct operation is key to ensuring measurement accuracy. Please follow the process below.
- After power-on, wait 30 seconds for warm-up.
- Enter the calibration menu via buttons or host computer.
- Use standard samples for zero and span calibration.
- Set the corresponding moisture range for the output.
- Return to measurement mode and record stable readings.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Daily Maintenance
- Regularly clean the sensor surface to avoid material adhesion.
- Calibrate accuracy every 6 months.
- Check whether the cable seal is aging.
Common Faults
- No output: Check power supply and wiring.
- Reading drift: Recalibrate or clean the sensor.
- Communication failure: Check address and baud rate settings.
Precautions
It is strictly prohibited to use non-explosion-proof MMP60 in explosive environments. Cut off the power before installation and maintenance. For the complete manual, please download the PDF file above.
