Conductivity Measurement Principle

Conductivity measurement is based on Ohm's law. By applying AC voltage through electrodes and measuring current, the conductivity of the solution is calculated. This principle is suitable for most electrolyte solutions and features fast response and good stability.

  • Electrode constant: Determines the measurement range and should be selected according to solution conductivity.
  • Temperature compensation: Conductivity changes with temperature, usually compensated to 25°C.

  4. Turn on the power and check whether the display is normal.

Calibration and Maintenance

Regular calibration ensures long-term accuracy. It is recommended to use standard conductivity solutions for single-point or two-point calibration.

Calibration Steps

  1. Clean the electrode thoroughly and rinse with standard solution.
  2. Immerse in standard solution and wait for the reading to stabilize.
  3. Enter the calibration menu, input the standard value and confirm.
  4. After calibration, rinse the electrode with deionized water.

Maintenance tips: Regularly check whether the electrode is contaminated or scaled. If necessary, clean with dilute acid. When not in use for a long time, the electrode should be stored in a dry environment.

  • Unstable reading: Check whether the electrode is contaminated or the cable shielding is poor.
  • Large measurement deviation: Recalibrate or replace the electrode.
  • No display: Check power supply and wiring.
