Application areas
Total nitrogen is a key indicator for determining surface water quality and assessing the impact of wastewater discharges. Total nitrogen comprises the organic and inorganic nitrogen present in the water. A rise in the total nitrogen concentration in surface water indicates that it may be affected by sewage from pipe networks, landfill leachate or agricultural non-point source pollution.
The Liquiline System CA80TN total nitrogen analyzer performs highly accurate online total nitrogen measurement, safeguarding process safety. The analyzer features advanced diagnostics, supports remote access, and its archived records can be submitted directly to the authorities as documentary evidence.
The Liquiline System total nitrogen analyzer monitors organic nitrogen compounds (e.g. proteins, urea) and inorganic nitrogen compounds (e.g. nitrate, nitrite, ammonia nitrogen) and is suitable for the following applications:
Inlet and outlet of wastewater treatment plants, for archiving records and calculating purification capacity
Discharge from industrial wastewater treatment plants, for determining discharge fees, as the basis of the “polluter pays principle”
Monitoring surface water quality
