Total chlorine is the sum of free chlorine and combined chlorine and is an indicator of the residual disinfectant concentration in discharged wastewater and process water. The Memosens CCS53E continuously outputs total chlorine measured values, even after a period in a chlorine-free environment. It can therefore measure in a "zero" chlorine environment, i.e. chlorine-free processes. The sensor uses Memosens 2.0 digital technology, guaranteeing high process safety and data integrity with simple operation. It supports predictive maintenance strategies.
Advantages
Even after chlorine-free processes, the sensor responds quickly and does not become deactivated. Continuous measurement helps to respond quickly to process changes and ensure compliance.
Compared to the colorimetric measuring principle, membrane-covered sensors have lower maintenance requirements, significantly reducing operating costs.
Long-term trouble-free operation: pre-calibrated sensors are plug-and-play and easy to replace. In addition, the Memosens 2.0 digital sensor has a shorter polarization time.
Used with Liquiline multiparameter transmitters to simultaneously measure other relevant water analysis parameters such as pH and ORP.
Wide measuring range and versatile applications: from zero chlorine and trace chlorine to applications with chlorine concentrations up to 20 mg/l.
