FTL41 Product Overview

FTL41 Installation and Commissioning
Installation Precautions
- The installation position should avoid the feed inlet and agitator to prevent false echoes.
- Ensure sufficient distance between the probe and the vessel wall to avoid capacitive coupling interference.
- For adhesive media, it is recommended to use a probe with a shielded section or clean it regularly.
- When used in explosive hazardous areas, intrinsically safe or explosion-proof types must be selected and relevant regulations must be followed.
Commissioning Steps
- After power-on, check whether the instrument displays normally (if equipped with LCD) or whether the output current is around 4mA.
- Enter the parameter setting menu and select the medium type (liquid/solid) and measurement range.
- Perform empty tank calibration (4mA point) and full tank calibration (20mA point).
- If necessary, adjust the damping time to stabilize the output.
- Save the settings and exit, and observe whether the output changes linearly with the level.

Common Problems and Maintenance
Common Fault Handling
- Output always at 4mA: Check whether the probe is scaled or the dielectric constant of the medium is too low.
- Large output fluctuation: Increase the damping time and check whether the grounding is good.
- No output: Check the power supply and wiring polarity.
Daily Maintenance
- Regularly check the probe for damage or corrosion.
