10D Electromagnetic Flowmeter Installation Points
Correct installation is a prerequisite for ensuring measurement accuracy. Please follow the steps below for installation.
- Ensure the pipeline is filled with liquid to avoid air bubble accumulation.
- The sensor should be installed at the low end of the pipeline or on a rising pipe section to ensure full pipe.
- Ensure the length of straight pipe sections before and after: 5D before, 3D after (D is the pipe diameter).
- The grounding ring or grounding electrode must be reliably grounded, with a grounding resistance less than 10Ω.
- Avoid installation near strong electromagnetic interference sources, such as frequency converters and large motors.
10D Electromagnetic Flowmeter Parameter Setting and Commissioning
Parameter setting can be done through the converter panel or hand operator. Common settings include nominal diameter, range, output mode, etc.
Basic Setting Steps
- Enter the menu, select nominal diameter and range to ensure consistency with actual conditions.
- Set the output signal type (4-20mA or pulse).
- Enable empty pipe detection and small signal cut-off functions as needed.
- Save parameters and exit, observe whether the flow display is normal.
10D Electromagnetic Flowmeter Common Troubleshooting
The following lists common fault phenomena and handling methods for quick maintenance.
| Fault phenomenon | Possible cause | Handling method |
|---|---|---|
| No flow display | Power not connected, fuse blown | Check power and fuse |
| Large flow display fluctuation | Air bubbles, poor grounding, interference | Vent air, check grounding, stay away from interference sources |
| Large measurement deviation | Incorrect nominal diameter or range setting, electrode contamination | Reset parameters, clean electrodes |
| Abnormal output signal | Incorrect wiring, excessive load | Check wiring, reduce load resistance |
10D Electromagnetic Flowmeter Selection and Maintenance Recommendations
When selecting, determine the lining and electrode materials based on medium characteristics, temperature, pressure, and nominal diameter. Regular maintenance can extend service life.
- Lining selection: Rubber is suitable for water, PTFE is suitable for corrosive media.
- Electrode selection: 316L is used for general water, Hastelloy is used for strong corrosion.
- Maintenance cycle: It is recommended to check electrodes and grounding every 6 months.
- Calibration: Perform online or offline calibration once a year.
