Installation Steps and Precautions
Preparation Before Installation
- Confirm that the pipeline is filled with liquid and free of bubbles; install a gas eliminator if necessary.
- Check that the flow meter nameplate parameters match the working conditions, especially pressure and temperature.
- Prepare appropriate tools and seals, and ensure the pipeline can be drilled or has a reserved mounting seat.
Installation Steps
- Drill a hole at a suitable position in the pipeline (upstream straight pipe section ≥10D, downstream ≥5D) and weld the mounting seat.
- Insert the insertion sensor into the pipeline, ensuring the measuring head is near the centerline of the pipeline.
- Adjust the insertion depth, tighten the positioning nut, and ensure sealing without leakage.
- Connect the cable, connect the power and signal lines according to the wiring diagram, and pay attention to grounding the shielding layer.
- After power-on, check the zero point and perform zero calibration under full-pipe static conditions.
Precautions
- Avoid installation at the pump outlet or downstream of valves to prevent vortices and pulsation from affecting accuracy.
- The liquid should flow in one direction; reverse flow may damage the sensor or cause measurement errors.
