8F2B Mass Flow Meter Overview
8F2B mass flow meter is a high-precision direct mass flow measurement instrument based on the Coriolis force principle, widely used in trade settlement and process control in industries such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food. This model supports measurement of liquids, gases, and multiphase flows, with stable output signals and the ability to obtain true mass flow without temperature and pressure compensation.
This article provides the download of the 8F2B Chinese manual and summarizes its core technical parameters, installation specifications, and selection points for reference by engineering technicians and procurement personnel.

8F2B Mass Flow Meter Installation Points
Correct installation is key to ensuring the measurement accuracy of the 8F2B mass flow meter. Please follow the steps below:
- Installation Position: Prefer low points in the pipeline or vertical upward flow direction to ensure the sensor is always filled with medium.
- Support and Fixation: Supports should be installed at both ends of the flow meter flanges to avoid pipeline stress being transmitted to the sensor.
- Straight Pipe Section Requirements: Upstream ≥5D, downstream ≥2D (D is the pipe inner diameter), avoid elbows and valves adjacent.
- Electrical Connection: Connect power and signal lines according to the wiring diagram in the manual, and ground the shield at one end.
- Zero Calibration: After installation, perform zero calibration under full pipe and no-flow conditions.
8F2B Mass Flow Meter Selection Precautions
During selection, comprehensive consideration should be given to medium characteristics, process conditions, and installation environment. The following are key points:
- Medium Corrosiveness: Select wetted materials according to the medium, such as 316L, Hastelloy, titanium, etc.
- Flow Range: The common flow rate should fall within 20%~80% of the flow meter upper limit to ensure accuracy.
- Temperature and Pressure: Confirm that the medium temperature and working pressure do not exceed the sensor ratings.
- Explosion-proof Requirements: In flammable and explosive occasions, intrinsically safe or explosion-proof type must be selected, and a safety barrier must be provided.
- Output and Communication: Select 4-20mA, HART, or RS485 output according to control system requirements.
Common Problems and Maintenance
Daily Maintenance
Regularly check the flow meter appearance, wiring sealing, and grounding conditions, and keep the sensor clean. If the medium is prone to scaling, clean the measuring tube according to the process cycle.
Troubleshooting
- Zero Drift: Re-execute zero calibration, check whether the pipeline is full and whether there are bubbles.
- No Output Signal: Check power supply, fuse, and signal line connections.
- Fluctuating Measurement Value: Confirm whether the medium is two-phase flow, and check damping settings and grounding.
