FMR66B Product Overview
FMR66B is a radar level transmitter used for continuous level measurement, employing frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology. It is suitable for measuring liquids, slurries, and solid particles, with typical applications including storage tanks, reactors, and silos.
The instrument supports 4-20mA HART output, has a protection rating of up to IP67, a maximum process temperature of 150°C, and a maximum process pressure of 16 bar. Its non-contact measurement method avoids wear and contamination issues.

Installation and Commissioning Points
Installation Steps
- Confirm that the flange or thread specifications match the on-site interface, and prepare suitable gaskets.
- Install the FMR66B vertically on the tank top, ensuring that the antenna emitting surface is parallel to the medium surface.
- Avoid installation directly above the feed inlet, agitator, or heating coil to prevent false echoes.
- Tighten the process connection to ensure reliable sealing and achieve IP67 protection rating.
- Connect the power and signal cables according to the wiring diagram in the manual, and observe the indicator light status after power-on.
Commissioning Precautions
- Use a HART communicator or commissioning software to set the empty tank and full tank calibration values.
- If the dielectric constant of the medium is low (such as certain oils), the false echo suppression function needs to be enabled.
- Under stirring or foaming conditions, it is recommended to appropriately increase the response time to stabilize the output.
- Regularly check whether the antenna surface has scaling or crystallization, and clean it if necessary.
Common Issues and Maintenance
If the measured value jumps, first check whether the supply voltage is within the 16~30V DC range. If the signal is lost, confirm whether the medium is below the minimum measurement point or whether the antenna is covered.
It is recommended to perform an echo curve check every 6 months and record historical data for trend analysis. Before restarting after long-term shutdown, empty tank calibration should be performed again.
Selection and Procurement Recommendations
When purchasing the FMR66B, please specify the process connection specifications, process temperature and pressure, output signal type, and explosion-proof requirements. If used in explosive atmospheres, intrinsically safe or flameproof models must be selected.
