E+H Electromagnetic Flowmeter 10W Commissioning Guide

The E+H electromagnetic flowmeter 10W series is a commonly used instrument in industrial flow measurement, and its commissioning process involves multiple parameter settings. Correct commissioning can ensure measurement accuracy and output stability. The following steps are intended for reference by engineering and technical personnel and procurement personnel.

1. Power-on and Menu Entry

After the instrument is powered on and stabilized, press the “E” key to enter the menu group, and the screen displays “Group Select”. At this point, parameter setting can begin.

2. Volume Flow Unit Setting

Press the “+” or “-” key to find “Unit Volume Flow”, and use the “+/-” key and the “E” key to confirm the volume flow unit. Enter 10, and finally press the “E” key to confirm.

3. Mass Flow Unit Setting

After “Unit Volume Flow” is displayed, the mass flow unit can be confirmed using the “+/-” key and the “E” key. It is usually set to “m³/h”.

4. Totalizer Unit Setting

Find “Unit Totalizer”, and use the “+/-” key and the “E” key to confirm the totalizer unit. The commonly used unit is “M³”.

5. Current Output Configuration

Press the “+” and “-” keys simultaneously to return, then press the “+” or “-” key to find “Current Output”, and press the “E” key. Select the output “4—20mA Hart Namur”, then press the “E” key. Use the “+ and -” keys to enter the value corresponding to 20mA, and press the “E” key to confirm.

6. Failsafe Mode Setting

Press the “E” key to go to “Failsafe Mode”, and press the “+” or “-” key to select “Max current value”, that is, output the maximum current value when an alarm occurs.

7. Low Flow Cutoff Setting

Press the “+” and “-” keys simultaneously to return to “Current Output 1”, then press the “+” or “-” key to find “ProcessParameter”, and press the “E” key. Set “On-value low flow cut off” to the low flow cutoff value. The general setting range is 1% to 5% of the value corresponding to 20mA.

8. Commissioning Precautions

  • Ensure that the instrument is well grounded to avoid interference.
  • After parameter setting, zero point calibration is recommended.
  • The low flow cutoff value should not be too large, so as not to affect low flow measurement.
  • Regularly check whether the current output is accurate.
