Installation and Wiring
Installation Steps
- Confirm that the instrument model matches the order requirements and check that the appearance is not damaged.
- Cut an opening on the control panel (size 45+0.5×92+0.5mm), push the instrument in, and secure it.
- Connect the power and signal lines according to the wiring diagram in the manual, and pay attention to polarity.
- After checking that the wiring is correct, power on and preheat for 10 minutes.
Wiring Precautions
- Use shielded cables, with the shielding layer grounded at one end.
- Route signal lines separately from power lines to avoid interference.
- Ensure that the power supply voltage is within the rated range.
Parameter Setting and Calibration
Parameter Setting Steps
- Long press the SET key for 3 seconds to enter the setting menu.
- Use the ▲/▼ keys to select the parameter item, and press SET to confirm.
- After modifying the value, press SET again to save.
- Press the ESC key to return to measurement mode.
Calibration Method
EL 8 supports zero point and full scale calibration. It is recommended to calibrate once every 12 months, or shorten the cycle according to working conditions.
- Zero point calibration: input the lower limit signal and execute ZERO in the calibration menu.
- Full scale calibration: input the upper limit signal and execute SPAN.
Common Issues and Maintenance
Common Issues
- Display not lit: check the power wiring and voltage.
- Measured value fluctuating: check the signal line shielding and grounding.
- Accuracy decreased: recalibrate or replace the sensor.
Daily Maintenance
- Regularly clean the instrument surface to avoid dust accumulation.
- Check whether the wiring terminals are loose.
- Avoid using it in environments outside the operating temperature range.
