Installation Steps

Correct installation is key to ensuring measurement accuracy and long-term stability. Please follow the steps below.

  1. Check whether the transmitter appearance is intact and confirm that the range and output signal meet the requirements.
  2. Choose an installation location, avoiding strong vibration, heat sources, and corrosive environments.
  3. Use appropriate tools to screw the transmitter into the process connection port, and add a sealing gasket.
  4. Avoid excessive force when tightening to prevent damage to the threads or housing.
  5. For gas measurement, it is recommended to install the transmitter above the pipeline; for liquid measurement, install it on the side or below.

Electrical Wiring

Before wiring, make sure the power supply is disconnected. The PMP43 analog version usually uses a two-wire or three-wire system. The wiring methods are as follows.

  • Two-wire system (4-20mA): Connect the red wire to the positive pole of the power supply, and the black wire to the negative pole of the power supply in series with the load.
  • Three-wire system (0-10V): Connect the red wire to the positive pole of the power supply, the black wire to the negative pole of the power supply, and the yellow wire is the positive pole of the signal output.
  • It is recommended to use shielded cables, with the shield grounded at one end to reduce electromagnetic interference.
  • The wiring terminals should be tightened to avoid poor contact causing signal fluctuations.

Calibration and Debugging

The transmitter has been calibrated at the factory. If on-site adjustment is needed, refer to the following methods.

Zero Calibration

Under no pressure, adjust the zero potentiometer so that the output is 4mA (or 0V).

Full-Scale Calibration

Apply full-scale pressure and adjust the span potentiometer so that the output is 20mA (or 10V).

Note: During calibration, use a high-precision pressure source and a digital multimeter, and avoid operating in environments with strong electromagnetic interference.

Common Problems and Maintenance

  • No output signal: Check the power supply, wiring polarity, and load resistance.
  • Output fluctuation: Check grounding, shielding, and medium pulsation.
  • Decreased accuracy: Recalibrate or check whether the sensor is blocked or corroded.
  • Regularly clean the process connection port to avoid impurity accumulation affecting measurement.
