CYK10 Selection Table Overview

CYK10 is a connecting cable for Memosens digital sensors. The selection table is usually organized around four feature categories: certification, cable length, cable connection, and tag. Each feature corresponds to specific options and explains the applicable situations through codes. Engineering personnel and procurement can quickly determine the complete model based on the tables in this article.

It is recommended to combine the selection code as certification code + cable length code + cable connection code + tag code. Before ordering, verify the on-site hazardous area, installation distance, transmitter interface, and whether TAG marking is required.

I. Certification Code Selection

Certification Code Reference Table

OFM IS Cl.I Div.1 Gr. A-D
PJPN Ex ia IIC T3/T4/T6 Ga – pH/ORP
SCSA IS Cl.I Div.1 Gr. A-D

VATEX/NEPSI II 3G Ex ic IIC
XJPN Ex ia IIC T3/T4/T6 Ga – Cond.
ZJPN Ex ia IIC T3/T4/T6 Ga – DO

Certification codes determine the hazardous areas and market access where CYK10 can be used. For non-hazardous areas, select A or L, where L has de-silicon treatment; for hazardous areas, select according to requirements such as ATEX, IECEx, NEPSI, UK Ex, FM, CSA, JPN, etc.

***TIIS and special markings in the table should be confirmed with the supplier. If multiple certifications are required on site, the combined certification code G can be considered first, but specific parameters still need to be checked.

Certification Selection Suggestions

  • Non-hazardous area: select A; if de-silicon treatment is required, select L.
  • Europe/International intrinsic safety: for ATEX intrinsic safety select E, for IECEx intrinsic safety select I, for ATEX/NEPSI combination select G, for UK Ex select M, for ATEX/NEPSI II 3G Ex ic IIC select V.
  • North America intrinsic safety: for FM IS select O, for CSA IS select S, for FM/CSA IS/NI CLI Div1&2 GP ABCD select G.
  • Japan and specific parameters: for pH/ORP select P, for conductivity Cond. select X, for dissolved oxygen DO select Z; for TIIS-related pH select T, for Oxygen select U, and confirm availability.

Hazardous area selection must be based on the on-site explosion-proof rating, gas group, and temperature group. If an intrinsically safe loop is formed, the associated equipment and cable parameters also need to be calculated.

II. Cable Length Code Selection

Cable Length Code Table

CodeLength / Description
011.5 m
033 m
055 m
1010 m
1515 m
2020 m
2525 m
88..... m length
89..... ft length
90..... **..... m length SIL; suitable for glass pH CM42 with 2x 4-20mA SIL
91..... **..... ft length SIL; suitable for glass pH CM42 with 2x 4-20mA SIL

Standard lengths cover 1.5 m to 25 m, suitable for most routine installations. If the required length is not within the standard range, choose 88 (meters) or 89 (feet) to define a non-standard length.

90/91 are SIL application length codes, suitable for configurations of glass pH CM42 with 2x 4-20mA SIL, and the specific length must be added. When selecting the length, installation allowance should be reserved to avoid cable tension or too small a bending radius.

Length Selection Steps

  1. Measure the cable routing distance from the sensor installation point to the transmitter or junction box.
  2. Consider cable tray, conduit, bending radius, and maintenance allowance to determine the final length.
  3. Prefer standard codes 01, 03, 05, 10, 15, 20, 25.
  4. For non-standard lengths select 88 or 89; for SIL applications select 90 or 91 and specify the length and unit.

III. Cable Connection Code Selection

Connection Type Reference Table

CodeConnection TypeDescription
1TerminalSuitable for fixed wiring and traditional installation
2M12 plug connectorSuitable for quick plug/unplug and maintenance
9Special typePlease define TSP number

Terminal connection is reliable and suitable for long-term fixed installation; M12 plug connector facilitates commissioning, replacement, and preventive maintenance. When selecting special type 9, provide the TSP number for customization confirmation.

IV. Tag (TAG) Code

Tag Selection Table

CodeDescription
Z1Tag (TAG), see additional notes

When cable or sensor identification is required, select Z1 and provide the tag content according to the additional notes. The tag helps with on-site installation, asset management, and later maintenance.

V. CYK10 Complete Selection Process

  1. Confirm the measurement parameter: pH, ORP, conductivity Cond., or dissolved oxygen DO.
  2. According to the hazardous area and target market, select the certification code.
  3. According to the installation distance and unit, select the cable length code.
  4. According to the transmitter interface, select terminal, M12 plug connector, or special type.
  5. If identification is required, add Z1 and provide the TAG content.

The complete model is recommended to be written in the order certification + length + connection + tag, and checked item by item. For items such as ***TIIS, SIL, and special type, technical feasibility and delivery information should be confirmed with the supplier in advance.

Correct selection can ensure that CYK10 stably transmits signals in the Memosens system and meets on-site explosion-proof, installation, and maintenance requirements.
