The gamma radiation source (60Co) has high penetrating energy, making it particularly suitable for level measurement in thick-walled, high-pressure tanks, as well as density measurement in large-diameter pipes and over large measuring ranges.

Benefits
The point source is placed in a special source capsule, ensuring simple handling and installation.
Special source capsule design meeting the strictest safety requirements: typical category C66646, in accordance with ISO 2919
The activity of the source can be selected to suit your application requirements, ensuring the optimum dose

Applications
Radioactive isotopes are used as gamma radiation sources for level, density and interface measurement as well as limit detection. A gamma source radiates equally in all directions, but in radiometric measurement only the radiation passing through the tank area or pipe is used as effective radiation; all other radiation is redundant and must be shielded.
