The thermowell is designed in accordance with DIN 43772 and withstands most operating conditions. It is made of tube or bar stock and is available in various diameters and materials. The special thermowell tip design provides a short response time for more efficient process control. A PTFE or tantalum sheath permits use in corrosive conditions. Various process connections are available: flange, thread, weld-in fitting or compression fitting.
