COS61D Dissolved Oxygen Sensor Overview

The COS61D is a dissolved oxygen sensor based on digital optical (fluorescence method) principle. It requires no medium flow during measurement and can work stably in still water. Its measuring range is 0~20 mg/L or 0%~200% SAT. Calibration parameters are stored directly inside the sensor, simplifying on-site calibration procedures.

The sensor uses a stainless steel 1.4571 body and POM membrane cap, with strong EMC protection, suitable for dissolved oxygen concentration measurement in water, wastewater, and utilities.

Advantages and Features of Matching Use

Measurement Performance

  • Digital optical (fluorescence method) measurement: No medium flow required, can measure in still water, no flow requirement.
  • Measuring range: 0~20 mg/L or 0%~200% SAT, covering conventional water treatment needs.
  • Calibration parameter storage: Calibration data is saved in the sensor, no recalibration needed when replacing the transmitter.
  • Self-monitoring function: Real-time monitoring of sensor status to ensure reliable measurement values.

Reliability and Maintenance

  • Strong EMC protection: Digital communication has strong anti-interference capability, suitable for industrial sites.
  • Low maintenance: The fluorescent layer is stable long-term, has oxygen selectivity (no interference), and long maintenance intervals.
  • High long-term stability: The sensor has digital signal processing function and uses digital communication with the transmitter.
  • Durable materials: Sensor body is stainless steel 1.4571, membrane cap is POM, adapting to harsh environments.

Application Scenarios

The COS61D is suitable for dissolved oxygen concentration measurement in the following fields:

  • Water treatment: Drinking water, surface water monitoring.
  • Wastewater treatment: Aeration tanks, biochemical treatment process control.
  • Utilities: Circulating water, cooling water systems.

Its no-flow-requirement feature enables reliable operation in still water or low-flow-rate situations.

Usage Precautions

Installation and Operation

  1. Ensure the process temperature is between -5~55°C to avoid sensor damage from overheating.
  2. The process pressure must not exceed 10 bar to prevent membrane cap rupture.
  3. Avoid severe impact during installation to protect the fluorescent membrane cap surface.
  4. When connecting the transmitter, confirm the digital communication interface matches.

Maintenance and Care

  • Regularly check whether the membrane cap is contaminated or damaged, clean or replace if necessary.
  • Regular professional maintenance and care are recommended to ensure long-term stable operation.
  • Calibration parameters are already stored in the sensor, no recalibration is needed when replacing, but confirm transmitter compatibility.
