PMX7x Pressure Mode Setting Overview
The PMX7x series pressure transmitter is widely used in industrial sites. Correctly setting the pressure mode is a prerequisite for ensuring measurement accuracy. Detailed Operating Steps
1. Enter Measurement Mode
- After the instrument is powered on, the Measured value display shows the current measured value.
- Press the E key to enter the main menu GROUP SELECTION.
- Use the + or - key to find MEASURING MODE.
- Press the E key to enter, and select Pressure.
2. Quick Setup Menu
Return to GROUP SELECTION, use the + or - key to find QUICK SETUP, and press the E key to enter. This menu contains key parameters such as zero adjustment, range setting, and damping time.
3. Zero Adjustment (POS.ZERO ADJUST)
After the instrument is installed, zero drift may occur due to the installation position or static pressure. The drift can be eliminated through POS.ZERO ADJUST:
- Select Confirm: the current measured value is calibrated to 0.0.
- Select Abort: cancel the adjustment and keep the original value.
4. Range Setting (SET LRV / SET URV)
The range setting determines the pressure values corresponding to 4 mA and 20 mA:
- SET LRV: set the pressure value corresponding to 4 mA (lower limit).
- SET URV: set the pressure value corresponding to 20 mA (upper limit).
5. Damping Time (DAMPING TIME)
DAMPING TIME is used to suppress output fluctuations, and the default value is usually sufficient. If the on-site pressure fluctuates greatly, the damping time can be appropriately increased, but this will reduce the response speed.
