The HAW569 protects the electronic components in field devices against damage. It ensures safe earthing of overvoltage surges in signal lines (e.g. 4...20 mA), fieldbus communication lines (HART, PA, FF) and supply lines. The function of the protected electronic components is not affected because the protection unit uses an inductance-free connection that causes no interfering voltage drop.
