The active barrier RN221N supplies power to transmitters; if required, it can be used in hazardous areas and transmits signals with electrical isolation. Optional HART® monitoring monitors the transmitter status. In the event of a fault, the relay on the RN221N raises an alarm. The relay must be actively resettable. Thus, even a simple error can be located easily.
