In the following three applications, the RB223 passive barrier is used for electrical isolation of active signal loops (0...20 mA): transmission from a non-hazardous area to a hazardous area, e.g. for active controllers, regulators or indicators. Transmission from a hazardous area to a non-hazardous area for connecting active intrinsically safe loops and PLCs. Transmission from a hazardous area to a non-hazardous area for supplying intrinsically safe transmitters with a non-intrinsically safe transmitter power supply unit.
